The diagram below shows the current intentions with respect to the redesign of the IHS. The HLP is the memory and reasoning system, the AMC is the measurement and response system, the user interface is provided for occupier communications. An additional engineering interface to the HLP for is available for system monitoring and development. The listening and response system is now considered to be a more distant and tentative development option. This is likely to be replaced with a different design..
This version of the IHS is simplified and reflects the current state of development (without the listening system). A more detailed block diagram will show how the HLP main control system (currently written in Python) can call other High Level Processing components to provide a more complete intelligent system which will be more worthy of the name. The user interface has moved to the HLP from the AMC in the current system.
